Northwest of Malaysia mainland is Langkawi, a group of 99 islands in the Andaman Sea . There are only four habitable islands in this region so we based our nature adventure in Langkawi Island, home to Asia's oldest rainforest teaming with exotic wildlife and Malaysia's only UNESCO Geopark.

Incredible Wildlife in Langkawi
Situated at the base of a 500 million year old mountain Gunung Mat Chinchang and nestled next to a 10 million year old rainforest, spectacular wildlife encounter was a daily occurrence. However, our mission was to find the elusive Flying Lemur and so we began our journey right where BBC filmed their documentary at The Andaman Resort by Datai Bay.

Langkawi Mangrove Forest Tour
Located at the east-side of Langkawi Island, the UNESCO Kilim Geoforest Park is home to a sprawling mangrove forest and ancient limestone rock formations rising from the river bed. Our mangrove tour travels through the waterway into this unique landscape with a wide spectrum of geological heritage, a myriad of flora and fauna, abundance of wildlife and a vibrant local community.
